Sick Day

Alex was feeling a little under the weather today so Valerie stayed home with him. He said he had a sore throat. Alex and Valerie wore their jammies all day and played and watched movies. Casey's ears continue to improve but the bandages from the picc line are causing a very bad rash on his forearm. There's a yeast infection there and it's bad enough that the doctor is going to move the picc line to his left arm. They plan to take it out tomorrow and if they can do it without anesthetic they will do it tomorrow. If not we will schedule an appointment at Mercy hospital. Alex continually asks about presents and when Christmas will be here? "Is it tomorrow? Is it tomorrow?" Yesterday afternoon Alex, Hannah, Danny and Sandy went to see the Polar Express at the IMAX theater at the Science Center. Alex was super impressed and loved it but his gut was hurting after a lot of popcorn and pepsi.
