Since my last post, Casey has been doing much better. The doctors have doubled his dose of Vancomycin and we are cautiously optimistic. We also took Alex to the doctor today and he has strep throat. He especially enjoyed the throat culture :)

Casey seems to be hearing a little better each day because his speech is improving. Some of his favorites are: "puppy", "purple", "papa", "hi" and "bye". His favorite game is "Red Rover". Casey and Alex stand against the door in the basement and Valerie and I say "Red Rover, Red Rover send Casey right over" and Casey comes running with a huge smile.

Night time is a bit of a struggle to get the boys to sleep. Alex has entered his "monster" stage and is afraid of the dark. Sleeping with Casey and Rex helps but that makes it more difficult for Casey.
